Distribution of the Two Kinds of Myofilaments in Insect Muscles

摘要: Different insect muscles have been studied with the electron microscope and distribution of two kinds myofilaments compared. In other than those flight, each thick filament is surrounded by 9–12 thin filaments, whereas, in flight muscles, contraction frequency which much higher, there are only 6 filaments surrounding one; nevertheless, some butterflies, wing stroke particularly low, 7–9 filaments.
