摘要: Background: Dysmenorrhea is a common gynecological condition with painful menstrual cramps of uterine origin. Prevalence primary dysmenorrhea not yet clearly studied in central India. Objective: To study prevalence young girls and to evaluate associated clinical markers dysmenorrhea. Materials Methods: In cross-sectional study, data was collected among 310 (18-25 years) on age at menarche, presence absence dysmenorrhea, duration, pre-menstrual symptoms (PMS), family history, menses irregularities, severity grading using visual analogue scale (VAS) semi-structured questionnaire. Results: reported 84.2% (261) 15.8% (49) no Using VAS, 34.2% experienced severe pain, 36.6% moderate 29.2% had mild pain. Bleeding duration found be significantly (χ2 = 10.5; P < 0.05), bleeding more than 5 days 1.9 times chance getting (OR: 1.9; 95% CI: 1.7-3).
