摘要: Summary Experiments were designed to evaluate the effect of BLV on mitogen-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from naturally infected cattle. BIV was also taken into consideration due a recent report showing that in Costa Rica, most BLV-infected animals are seropositive for BIV. The methodology based non-radioactive technique determine lymphoproliferation. A colourimetric assay using XTT (formazan salt) measure cell multiplication adapted bovine PBMC. ELISA and Western blotting used serologic status PCR only available detection. Our results show clearly that, dually-infected cattle (BIV-BLV) have reduced lymphoproliferative responses mitogen Con A. Haematological abnormalities associated with viral infections observed, specially leukocytosis lymphocytosis. Cows lymphosarcomas severely affected. specific antibody response different proteins could not be suppressive animals. Due high rate dual observed these sufficient clarify which virus is responsible activity, if one or both viruses necessary, they act synergistically.
