Synthesis and characterization of heterobimetallic complexes containing C-S cleaved thiophenes

摘要: The insertion of the 16e fragments [(triphos)MH] into a C-S bond in thiophene, 2,2′-bithiophene or benzo[b]thiophene gives butabienethiolate 2-vinylthiophenolate complexes which sulfur atom becomes powerful nucleophile (M = Rh, Ir; triphos MeC (CH2PPh2)3). This is attacked by unsaturated M′ (CO)5 (M′ Cr, Mo, W). As result, heterobimetallic are obtained inserted thiophene bridges two metal centres via atom. strength M′-S bonding interaction increases order Mo ⩽ Cr < W. All compounds were characterized solution multinuclear NMR spectoscopy.
