摘要: Global rates of urbanisation are on the rise. By 2050 around 70% ten billion global population is expected to be living in cities. Whilst cities centres education, wealth creation, innovation and progress they simultaneously characterized by pollution, congestion, noise, heat overcrowding, adversely impacting human health a scale. Strategic comprehensive urban transport planning policy that integrates can ameliorate some these negative impacts. The evidence base for how we should building our future there. Nonetheless, current fails optimise outcomes. This chapter discusses barriers enablers effectively integrating into decision making. These discussed under themes (1) differing understandings between sectors (2) difficulties translation (3) governance politics (4) institutional context. second part puts forward solutions overcoming suggests enabling factors reside improving communication collaboration across disciplines.
