摘要: [1] Concentrations of dissolved nitrous oxide (N2O) and N2O flux densities were determined during the Lagrangian investigation two filaments advected from Mauritanian upwelling. The ratio between remineralization production, predominantly through nitrification was 0.11 ± 0.01%. This linked to hydrodynamic character each filament, which by relative proportions central water masses they originated. Surface waters saturated with up 150% when first upwelled, but following advective transport offshore exchange atmosphere at rates 5 27 μmol m−2d−1 closer equilibrium (105%) filament approximately weeks old. Annual estimates emissions transient in this area are 1.3 2.1 Gg N, could be as high 9.8 N y−1 for extended upwelling vicinity Cap Blanc.
