摘要: A set of piezometers was embedded in sand deposits on a reclaimed island Tokyo Bay and seismograph placed the ground surface nearby order to monitor simultaneously in-situ pore water pressures horizontal accelerations during earthquakes. During September 25, 1980 earthquake, instruments registered increases corresponding 19% 16% effective overburden pressure at depths 6.0 M 14.0 M, respectively. At same time, maximum acceleration 95 gal surface. Laboratory cyclic triaxial tests had been performed undisturbed soil specimens obtained from this site using large diameter sampler. Based laboratory test data, an estimate made that might be produced deposit by seismic shaking gal. The estimated values were shown good agreement with earthquake. (Author/TRRL)
