摘要: Background We used functional MRI to examine the anatomy of inner speech and different forms auditory verbal imagery (imagining speech) in normal volunteers. hypothesized that generating would be associated with left inferior frontal activation, involve additional activation lateral temporal cortices. Methods Subjects were scanned, while performing tasks, using a 1.5 Tesla magnet. Results The generation was frontal/insula region, temporo-parietal cortex, right cerebellum supplementary motor area. Auditory general, as indexed by three tasks combined, areas engaged during task, plus precentral superior gyri (STG), homologues all these areas. Conclusions These results are consistent use 'articulatory loop' both imagery, greater engagement self-monitoring imagery.
