Opportunistic migration of memory pages in a unified virtual memory system

摘要: Techniques are disclosed for transitioning a memory page between memories in virtual subsystem. A unified (UVM) driver detects fault response to access request associated with first page, where local table does not include an entry corresponding address included the request. The UVM driver, fault, executes sequence. sequence includes modifying ownership state be central-processing-unit-shared. further scheduling migration from system central processing unit (CPU) parallel (PPU). One advantage of approach is that PPU accesses pages greater efficiency.
