摘要: Marine sediments contain large quantities of carbon, primarily in the form gas hydrate. Isotopic analyses suggest that carbon derived from fossil methane accounts for up to 28% dissolved organic sea water overlying hydrate-bearing seeps northeastern Pacific Ocean.
