Towards Energy Optimization Using Joint Data Rate Adaptation for BSN and WiFi Networks

摘要: Body sensor networks (BSNs) and WiFi have been widely investigated due to the availability of motes devices, but they are commonly deployed separately. In this paper we propose optimize total communication energy consumption BSN (BSN-WiFi) using joint data rate adaptation. More specifically, first elaborate BSN-WiFi network system in four consecutive phases. Then based on system, analyze consumption, throughput time delay, provide a signal-to-noise ratio packet delivery (SNR-PDR) mappings networks. Next, build an optimization model with constraints SNR-PDR mappings, throughput, delay minimize With input SNR values, solve by cvx obtain output optimal rates associated which then tabulated for online Finally, collect 20-minute traces from specific performance evaluation, results demonstrate that our solution achieves up 86% savings comparing solutions fixed rates.
