摘要: Compound heat transfer augmentation refers to coupling of an active and a passive enhancement technique in effort benefit from the advantages both techniques. In present study, electrohydrodynamic (EHD) was applied air side tube-and-plate-fin, cross-flow exchanger. The main objective study address applicability/limitations EHD for air-side compact exchangers. Experiments were conducted as function parameters that included effect electrode geometry, temperature, frost formation on surface. general observation all cases enhancements maximum laminar flow regime, at lowest temperature difference between surface, highest electric field potential. A factor 3.3 overall coefficient obtained utilizing barbed parallel 20 C Reynolds number 1,000.
