摘要: We present a 66 year-old man with recurrent mesothelial cyst arising from the periumbimulcal peritoneum after laparoscopic excision. The symptom was postprandial umbilical discomfort. A monoloculated abdominal detected on CT. located under umbilicus without any enteric or urinary tract connection. Aspiration cytology of fluid negative. containing scanty cells. continuous fibrous tissue, resulting in incomplete excision through route. lining epithelium immunohistochermically positive for cytokeratin. negative Factor VIII and vimentin. Thus histological diagnosis occurring periumbilical peritoneum. Since cystic mass grew larger, it resected laparotomy 16 months surgery. monoluculated is kind retention cyst. lararoscopic may be accepted as first trial prior to laparotomy. When correct can entabilshed, injection sclerosing agent one choice surgery effective multicystic mesothelioma. think that should recommended patient he she accepts our detailed explanation about possible local recurrence procedure.
