Patient satisfaction with primary health care services in the United Arab Emirates

摘要: Objective: This study evaluated the suitability of a patient satisfaction questionnaire to survey health care consumers traditional Arabic background. Design: A cross-sectional using an language that drew upon concepts measurement in Western research literature. Setting: Patient was compared between only resource-intensive clinic (RIC) United Arab Emirates and one resource-thrifty (RTC) located adjacent suburb serving essentially same population. Study participants: random sample patients attending RIC RTC over 5-day period. Main outcome measures: Six domains measured. Results: Compared (n = 125), 156) scored significantly higher continuity (P 0.001), comprehensiveness < education 0.05), effectiveness overall while accessibility 0.130) humaneness 0.102) not different. Humaneness highest lowest at both clinics. Older people’s for but otherwise as those who younger. More highly educated lower effectiveness, less educated. Men women had equal satisfaction. Conclusions: The strong priori expectation, suggesting this is useful quality assurance tool setting.
