摘要: The study demonstrated a possibility to sense the activity of microorganisms on metals in situ under atmosphere conditions using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) as sensitive mass change detector. Other innovative aspects QCM application include long-term monitoring (over month), taking count influence atmospheric pressure and Al-glued foil electrodes. research subject was aluminium colonisation by Aspergillus niger Tiegh., filamentous ascomycete fungus. difference between data for abiotic biotic samples reflected microbiological activity, which resulted exponential gain during exposure. increase due various phenomena, i.e. development biomass, secretion metabolites, water uptake colony microbially induced corrosion. glued method expand scope studies from evaporated, sputtered or electroplated materials those, thin foils may be produced.
