摘要: Abstract Plasma and urine free 11-hydroxycorticosteroids were measured by a simple fluorometric procedure. Precision recovery of cortisol excellent. The 8 to 9 a.m. mean plasma 11-hydroxycorticosteroid value was 17 ± 4.9 (S.D.) μg. 100 ml. agrees well with those reported using the Porter-Silber chromogen technic for measurements nonconjugated corticosteroids in normal subjects. Dexamethasone 2 mg. every 6 hours 24 resulted levels 2.2 ACTH 25 I.V. over hour period subjects gave 58.8 10.9 half-life injected 127 minutes is good agreement values other technics measure cortisol. urinary excretion 86.8 29.5 suppression did not lower this below range. day infusion rose 895 323 only one less than 470 . applied appears offer rapid measurement adrenal function that adequate most clinical purposes. Further studies are necessary judge findings.
