摘要: Abstract The response of activated sludge characteristics to the presence 2,4-dinitrophenol (dNP) in batch cultures was investigated this study. yield slightly decreased with an increase dNP concentration. At 10 mg l −1 , or lower, significantly reduced and relative specific growth rates ( μ / 0 ), but didn’t substantially affect its chemical oxygen demand removal rate q ). Presence at 1–20 mg l increased uptake sludge, changed hydrophobicity. An analysis on inhibition indicated that reduction mainly attributed significant growth, rather than substrate degradation.
