摘要: The fracture behavior of concrete is often attributed to a process zone. This zone manifests itself in the form nonlinear stress-strain behavior, post peak strain softening, size effect, and numerous toughening mechanisms. Features include arrays microcracks, aggregate interlocking, crack bridging, grain boundary sliding friction. From material modeling standpoint, properties must be known order accurately predict response stress. Since characteristics are critical properties, better understanding those will lead overall performance.
