摘要: Mutations in the p53 tumor suppressor gene have been demonstrated to be one of most frequent genetic abnormalities human cancers. Previous studies shown that frequency mutations is significantly higher small cell lung cancer than non-small cancer. However, this conclusion was based large part on data derived from lines and with relatively sample sizes biased gender populations. To determine mutational a potential difference gender, we analyzed primary tumors 65 patients (37 males 28 females) for between exons 5 9. were found 37 (57%) within region analyzed. Interestingly, none females contained more mutation, whereas four mutation. The common mutation population an adenosine-to-guanine transition (27%), followed by guanine-to-thymidine transversion (17%) guanine-to-adenosine (12%). rate identified study suggests proportion female may develop through pathways not involving mutations.
