摘要: Family medicine has evolved into a specialty deeply rooted in clinical service. Because of high demands for practice productivity, family physicians have drifted away from participation scientific inquiry. There is even an effort some institutions to reinvent as community-based ambulatory specialty, resulting further “disconnect” between research and physicians. A new movement the efficient translation laboratory science applications com munity supports need trained clinician scientists. This translational seeks take findings bench trials study their introduction dissemination practice. opportunity become involved research. But, develop cadre researchers within community, education programs train those researchers. Residency may be ideal time begin that training development.
