摘要: BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES We aim to investigate whether a difference exists between right-sided and left-sided colon cancer at the same disease stage subsequent liver metastasis identify tumor location can independently influence survival. METHODS Right-sided was defined as malignancy arising from cecum transverse colon; splenic flexure sigmoid colon. Clinicopathological features survival data were collected for analysis. RESULTS Overall, 1442 patients included The median follow-up time 58.2 months. Patients with had better 5-year overall (75.2% vs 61.7%, P = 0.005), cancer-specific (81.6% 73.4%, P = 0.001), recurrence-free (70.9% 66.5%, P = 0.033) compared having cancer. After presentation of metastasis, primary 3-year ( P < 0.001). In multivariate analysis, an independent prognostic factor (right left, HR: 1.276, 95% CI: 1.002-1.625). CONCLUSIONS serve treatment outcomes either in III or metastasis.
