摘要: The relationship among airway responsiveness, inflammation and remodelling in asthma is incompletely understood. To investigate potential mechanistic associations, allergen-induced was studied C57Bl/6 mice. Mice were sensitized challenged with ovalbumin (OVA) using sub-acute (SA) or chronic (C) protocols. Responsiveness assessed by measuring respiratory impedence which partitioned into resistance (Raw) distal lung components (Gti, Hti) during methacholine-induced constriction. Inflammation, mucus, smooth muscle, collagen, biglycan decorin quantified. airways sub-divided central peripheral. In SA C OVA, Raw, Gti Hti responsiveness significantly increased; the peripheral response greater vs OVA. Airway mucus increased both groups, but more OVA model, appear to drive mechanical response, especially periphery; seems contribute hyper-responsiveness an equivalent degree, after challenge
