摘要: Recently a candidate gene for the primary testis-determining factor (TDF) encoding zinc finger protein (ZFY) has been cloned from human Y chromosome. A highly homologous X-linked copy also identified. Using this sequence it is possible to identify two loci, an X and autosomal locus in mouse (Zfy-1, Zfy-2, Zfx Zfa, respectively). Suprisingly ZFY more sequences than either of Y-linked loci. Both Zfy-1 Zfy-2 are present Sxr region but absent deletion variant Sxrb (or Sxr") suggesting not necessary male determination. Extensive backcross analyses map Zfa chromosome 10 5-cM interval between anonymous probe MDXS120 tabby (Ta). We show that androgen receptor (m-AR) believed underlie testicular feminization mutation (Tfm) shows complete linkage Zfx. Comparative mapping indicates man these genes lie separate conserved DNA segments.
