Cognitive impairment in long-term benzodiazepine users.

摘要: In view of the very extensive and often prolonged use benzodiazepines in therapeutic practice, this study was designed to investigate whether or not cognitive ability is impaired long-term benzodiazepine users, determine nature extent any deficit. Fifty patients currently taking for at least one year, thirty-four who had stopped benzodiazepines, a matched control group subjects never taken past less than year were administered battery neuropsychological tests measure wide range functions.
