摘要: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is common worldwide associated with a poor rate of survival. Identification new markers therapeutic targets, understanding the complex transformation process, will require comprehensive description genome expression, that can only be achieved by combining different methodologies. We report here HNSCC transcriptome was determined exhaustive differential display (DD) analysis coupled validation methods on same patient samples. The resulting 820 nonredundant sequences were analysed high throughput bioinformatics analysis. Human proteins identified for 73% (596) DD sequences. A large proportion (>50%) remaining unassigned match ESTs (expressed sequence tags) from human tumours. For functionally annotated proteins, there significant enrichment relevant biological processes, including motility, protein biosynthesis, stress immune responses, death, cycle, proliferation and/or maintenance transport. Three novel (TMEM16A, PHLDB2 ARHGAP21) further to show they have potential developed as targets.
