摘要: There is a critical need to attain new sustainable materials for direct upgrade of waste heat electrical energy via the thermoelectric effect. Here we demonstrate that performance silicene nanoribbons can be improved dramatically by introducing nanopores and tuning Fermi energy. We predict values electronic figure merit ZTe up 160 are achievable, provided located approximately 100 meV above charge neutrality point. Including effect phonons yields value full ZT = 3.5. Furthermore sign thermopower S varied with achievable as high +/− 500 μV/K. As method energy, analyse doping either strong electron donor (TTF) or acceptor (TCNQ) adsorbed layers former increases 3.1, which insensitive temperature over range 100 K – 400 K. This combination high, temperature-insensitive ZTe, ability choose identifies nanoporous an ideal material potential unprecedented performance.
