摘要: Abstract In May and June of 1998, an extensive measurement campaign was fielded in the city Phoenix its environs. Measurements were made at ground sites aboard Department Energy's G-1 research aircraft effort to understand production O 3 this area. Diurnal variations differed upwind Palo Verde, downtown Super Site, downwind Usery Pass surface stations. Air masses entering metropolitan area had concentrations greater than 40 ppbv. Maximum near 100 ppbv observed 14:00 local standard time; similar occurred much later day site. One case study on 5 June, 1998 is presented illustrate ozone region. Calculated rate efficiency varied from 1 7 ppbv h −1 , 1–3 molecules per molecule NO z respectively, for flight. Hydrocarbon apportionment, based upon site measurements, establishes that biogenic species are not significant contributors Therefore, carbon monoxide becomes a major contributor OH reactivity as more reactive anthropogenic hydrocarbons become depleted. The relatively low attributed radical dry atmosphere.
