摘要: Open geospatial data and tools are an increasingly important paradigm offering the opportunity to promote democratization of geographical information, transparency governments institutions, as well social, economic environmental opportunities. During past decade, developments in area open open-source software have greatly improved. Many parts research community believe that combining free software, data, standards, leads creation a sustainable ecosystem accelerate new discoveries help solve global cross-disciplinary societal challenges, from climate change mitigation cities. The consistent prevalence source GIS studies motivated this thematic collection. contributions divided into two main categories. In first category, seven concrete on technologies for urban briefly presented. Each one has been implemented applied certain use case, at same time it may be other cases due reproducibility nature software. second category presents discusses usability solutions laser scanning technology its applications.
