摘要: Juvenile hormone (JH) regulates reproductive maturation in insects; therefore interruption of JH biosynthesis has been considered as a strategy for the development target-specific insecticides. The corpora allata (CA) from mosquitoes is highly specialized to supply variable levels JH, which are linked ovarian developmental stages and influenced by nutritional signals. However, very little known about how changes synthesis relate physiology regulation translated into CA machinery. With advent new methods that facilitate analysis transcripts, enzymes metabolites minuscule CA, we were able provide comprehensive descriptions mevalonic (MVA) pathways integrating information on basic components those pathways. Our results revealed remarkable dynamic exposed part complex mechanism activity. Principal component (PC) analyses validated both (MVAP JH-branch) transcriptionally co-regulated single unit, catalytic activities MVAP JH-branch also changed coordinate fashion. Metabolite studies showed global fluctuations intermediate pool sizes often inversely related. PC suggest female mosquitoes, there at least 4 switches alter modulating flux distinctive points
