摘要: Abstract Four hundred fifty volunteers participated in a placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomized trial of the prophylactic effects rimantadine and amantadine during an outbreak influenza A. The subjects received drugs orally at dose 100 mg twice day for six weeks. Influenza-like illness occurred 41 per cent receiving placebo but only 14 those 9 (P<0.001 either drug vs. placebo). Laboratory-documented 21 recipients, 3 2 recipients (P<0.001). These findings represent efficacy rates 85 91 amantadine, as compared with placebo.
