摘要: Summary Landscape scenario modelling is a useful aid to planning for biodiversity conservation. Vegetation condition increasingly being integrated into such analysis. Model complexity and model uncertainty are critical factors that must be addressed when tailoring vegetation individual applications. We describe three approaches we have used compare the effects of different landscape scenarios on condition. The first simple land-use–condition approach where determined solely by land use. second land-use–regeneration introduces transition functions dynamics associated with use change. third threat–regeneration approach, which models based interaction between regeneration range mapped threats. represent progression towards increased refinement realism, but also data requirements. examine relative usefulness conclude there no single ‘silver bullet’ solution recommend judicious matching applications within collaborative adaptive setting.
