摘要: The frequency of mutations induced by ethyl methane sulfonate was compared in a pseudodiploid Chinese hamster cell strain and tetraploid substrain derived from it. reverse glycine auxotrophy to independence similar the two strains, as expected for dominant phenotype. Forward mutation 6-thioguanine-resistance 25 fold lower diploid strain. resistant mutants lack hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase activity their phenotype is recessive somatic hybrids. A combination chromosomal segregation could account these drug-resistant population.
