Experimental indication of the onset of nuclear deformation in neutron-rich Sr isotopes at mass 98

摘要: Abstract A partial decay scheme for 0.1 sec 98 Rb has been deduced from γ-singles, γ-multispectra ana γγ coincidence measurements taken at the OSTIS mass-separator system Institut Laue-Langevin. The low-lying levels of Sr follow energy level systematics even- N = 60 isotones. onset nuclear deformation in neutron-rich isotopes appears to occur mass 98, as first 2 + drops nearly constant value about 800 keV masses 90–96 144 98. Energy indicate that a transition structures more nuclei near 100 occurs rather sharply neutron number 60.
