摘要: Genomics and phenomics are two fundamentally important branches of biological sciences, they stand at both ends the multiple “omics” families. A central goal current biology is to establish complete functional links between genome phenome, so-called genotype–phenotype map. Recent advances in high-throughput high-dimensional genotyping phenotyping technologies enable us uncover casual networks inside “black box” that lies genotypes phenotypes using principles genome-wide association studies (GWAS). Application GWAS analogous methodologies incorporation omics data begin unravel contribution genetic variation phenotypic diversity. Integrating broad levels by systems-biology approach paramount further bridging gaps genomics eventually making accurate predictions based on contribution.
