摘要: One of the challenging tasks in field ultrasonic NDE is to obtain quantitative flaw size, shape, and orientation information. In an equivalent sizing approach, flaws a material are reconstructed terms best-fit simple shape such as ellipsoid or ellipse. this work, new time-of-flight (TOFE) method developed for obtaining from relatively small number timing measurements at different transducer orientations. The performance demonstrated on synthetic numerical data with experiments, including examples anisotropic composite materials welds.
