摘要: Abstract We report on a method for populating the 4f5d bands in Pr-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Pr 3+ :YAG) through one-color twp-photon absorption process. Broad ultraviolet emission (between 300 and 400 nm) is obtained by pumping crystal with source between 470 490 nm. The dynamics of two-photon process studied monitoring transient rise decay fluorescing populations under chopped CW excitation. data show that two photons are absorbed sequentially either 3 P 1 or 0 level acting as metastable intermediate state. An excitation spectrum 314 nm from lowest band compared to 615 levels. Strong enhancement UV occurs when laser resonant transitions A model sequential proposed. predicts population ions indirectly controlled energy transfer processes involving D 2
