摘要: Abstract Although glycoscientists have learned over the years how to isolate certain classes of naturally occurring complex carbohydrates, availability pure natural isolates, remains inadequate address ongoing challenges. As a result, turned chemical synthesis for access oligosaccharides and glycoconjugates. Efficient carbohydrates can yield significant quantities structures as well unnatural mimetics that are often interest. Traditional oligosaccharide synthesis, however, requires extensive protecting‐group manipulations between each glycosylation step. Such additional increase number total synthetic steps inevitably decrease efficiency, reflected in dramatic drop yield. This chapter classifies discusses recent improvements emerged drawbacks traditional approach. Expeditious new strategies effectively shorten task assembly by minimizing need steps, or even purification intermediates. The excellent innovations surveyed here already facilitated glycoconjugates, some representative examples discussed herein.
