摘要: Benthic communities represent a powerful tool for the detection of natural and anthropogenic disturbances, as well assessment marine ecosystem stability. This paper shows that bivalve assemblages could serve excellent indicators disturbance instability. The goal this study was to compare two sets data in order determine differences between different periods belonging assemblage muddy detritic bottom northern Adriatic Sea post-anoxic period during December 1989, 1990, 1991 quite while later, 2003, 2004 2005. Abundances some indicator species such Corbula gibba, Modiolarca subpicta Timoclea ovata were detected period. Recruitment quality proved by ecologic biotic indexes 2005, relatively stable ecological conditions. Fluctuation diversity due eastern part is also discussed.
