摘要: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to use an eco-friendly service concept framework demonstrate the effect credible eco-certification signaling. Design/methodology/approach authors examine a cross-sectional data set consisting 2,481 hotel sites across US. measure performance operations component by operations-driven resource efficiency (ODF), and marketing customer-driven (CDF). A series multivariate regressions compare these two measures between credibly eco-certified others. Findings results indicate that eco-certifications achieve signaling effect. Eco-certified hotels outperform others in both ODF CDF measures; still higher after controlling for ODF. Practical implications findings suggest design requires not only but also ...
