摘要: Abstract This paper reports the control methods for mitigating fouling and slagging in brown coal-fired power utilities. Two were investigated, i.e. wet pretreatment of coal use mineral additives. By first technique, samples treated with aluminium solutions to adjust levels Na, Al Cl. The effect cleaning was tested under closely controlled conditions range 1000–1400°C. At a gas temperature 1250°C, deposition behaviour raw coals compared using probe maintained at temperatures 500, 600, 700 800°C. second technique involved experiments mixtures candidate additives sodium compounds ranging from 1000 1400°C. Experiments showed that both effective reducing ash-related problems. Between 1400°C, quantity condensable salts generated found depend only on amount coal. With method, reduces level thus by ion exchange. stickiness silicates this also shown be reduced aluminium. Deposition model calculations based sticking probability indicated Al-treated result less ash boiler surfaces. could captured clay minerals, particularly kaolin. For Victorian coal-based station boilers, 10–20 μm kaolin making up 2–3 wt.% feed estimated effectively reduce
