摘要: What's known on the subject? and What does study add? Previous studies have shown that robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) can be performed in men with high-risk prostate cancer similar outcomes to of open surgery. However, most literature consists small case series compares RARP from literature. This compared a cohort patients undergoing RP at single institution good follow up. We found no difference positive margin rates or likelihood recurrence. This adds growing evidence is safe option for disease. Objective To compare oncological who underwent retropubic (RRP) institution. Despite equivalent between RRP RARP, use tumours has been debated. Patients Methods A retrospective analysis treated UCSF 2002 2011 was conducted. The relationship surgical approach rate assessed by multivariate logistic regression Cox proportional hazards regression effect time tumour recurrence. Results In all, 177 233 made up final analyses. The mean (SD) age 61.6 (6.6) years median (range) follow-up 27 (2–112) months. RARP had less blood loss (median 200 vs 400 mL, P < 0.01) complete bilateral nerve sparing more often (54% 34%, than those RRP. There were differences pathological grade, stage, rates. there trend towards higher early on. Recurrence-free survival 2 (84% 79%) 4 (68% 66%) after respectively (log-rank = 0.53). Conclusions This novel it assesses institution. RARP appears feasible displayed RRP.
