摘要: Allelic deletions of chromosome 6q that occur frequently in ovarian cancers imply the presence a putative tumor suppressor gene this chromosomal vicinity. We analyzed DNA from 32 patients with carcinomas for loss heterozygosity at loci on distal portion and constructed detailed deletion map. The map indicated commonly deleted region between D6S149 (defined by CI6-24) A2, which are estimated to be 300 kb apart basis our cosmid contig By means exon trapping, we found human AF-6 gene, is disrupted acute myeloid leukemia cells carry (6;11)(q27;q23) translocation, located within region. Subsequent screening revealed no mutations. However, mapping results, narrowed containing 300-kb segment 6q27, will facilitate further efforts identify associated cancer.
