摘要: Switching architectures for WDM mesh and ring network nodes are presented. In networks, the switching have multiple levels—a level having wavelength routers add, drop pass-through functions, an intermediate device units which handle add signals, a local port receiving signals dropped from transmitting to be added network. The selected arranged performance cost considerations. multilevel architecture also permits design of reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers nodes, easy expansion networks into accommodation protection mechanisms in networks.
