Motivational Interviewing for adolescent substance use: a review of the literature.

摘要: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a widely-used approach for addressing adolescent substance use. Recent meta-analytic findings show small but consistent effect sizes. However, differences in intervention format and design, as well possible mediators of change, have never been reviewed. This review the literature summarizes most up-to-date MI interventions with adolescents, looks at between discusses theory-based mechanisms change. Of 39 studies included this review, 67% reported statistically significant improved use outcomes. Chi square results no difference using feedback or not, combined other treatment versus alone. The need systematic investigation change presented.
