A reconfigurable patch antenna using switchable slots for circular polarization diversity

摘要: A novel design of a microstrip patch antenna with switchable slots (PASS) is proposed to achieve circular polarization diversity. Two orthogonal are incorporated into the and two pin diodes utilized switch on off. By turning or off, this can radiate either right hand (RHCP) left (LHCP) using same feeding probe. Experimental results validate concept. This demonstrates useful features for wireless communication applications future planetary missions.
