摘要: Turbulence characteristics inside a turbulent spot in plane Poiseuille flow are investigated by analyzing database obtained from direct numerical simulation. The is found to consist of two distinct regions - area and wave area. the has strong resemblance that fully developed channel. Suitably defined mean r.m.s. fluctuations as well internal shear-layer structures be similar counterpart. In inflexional spanwise profiles cause rapid growth oblique waves, which break down turbulence. breakdown process waves reminiscent secondary instability observed during transition turbulence channel boundary-layer flows. Other detailed associated with presented compared experimental results.
