摘要: Introduction: Advances in ultrasound technology have allowed an investigation previously restricted to the radiology department be used more liberally clinical decision making. Point-of-Care-Ultrasound (PoCUS) has superior diagnostic performance traditional exam-ination across a range of pathologies hands suitably experienced practitioner. The utilisation PoCUS potential greatly influence delivery acute care, but little is known about current level resource provision within medical setting. Methods: To establish availability equipment and appropriately trained clinicians Acute Medical Units (AMUs) United Kingdom (UK) we asked specific ques-tions with annual day care survey, undertaken by Society for Medicine. We compared data two years assess interval changes. Results: 58.1 (75/129) AMUs had access dedicated SAMBA’19. This represents small increase from SAMBA’18. Ultrasound expertise concentrated number AMUs. Growth greatest units established expertise. Conclusion: provide not present on all cli-nicians are distributed evenly units. likely affect individual abil-ity deliver bedside appropriate patients who may benefit. Bridging gap ensure option use will require planning investment.
