摘要: A novel hydrophilic cellulose ester with a high intrinsic water permeability and partition coefficient was discovered to construct membrane supports for flat-sheet thin film composite (TFC) forward osmosis (FO) membranes reuse seawater desalination performance. The performance of TFC-FO prepared from the containing degree OH moderate Pr substitutions clearly surpasses those esters other polymers hydrophilicity. Post-treatments using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) glycerol followed by heat treatment further enhance flux without compromising selectivity. Positron annihilation lifetime analyses have confirmed that SDS/glycerol post-treatment increases free volume size fractional polyamide selective layer. newly developed post-treated exhibit remarkably up 90 LMH when layer is oriented towards draw solution (i.e., PRO mode) 1 M NaCl as DI feed. For desalination, display 35 2 solution. These fluxes exceeded achieved types FO reported in literatures.
