摘要: The synthesis of a series (formazanate)boron difluorides and their 1-electron reduction products is described. neutral compounds are fluorescent with large Stokes shifts. DFT calculations suggest that structural reorganization accompanies photoexictation accounts for the shift. Reduction boron occurs at ligand generates corresponding radical anions. These complexes non-fluorescent, allowing switching emission by changing oxidation state.
