摘要: This paper considers minimization of resistive and frictional power dissipation in a separately excited DC motor based incremental motion drive (IMD). The is required to displace given, fixed load through definite angle specified time, with minimum energy the windings losses. Accordingly, an optimal (EO) control strategy proposed which first accelerated track specific speed profile for pre-determined time period. Thereafter, both armature field supplies are disconnected, decelerates comes halt at desired displacement point total time. period initial acceleration phase computed so that stores just enough decelerate final position parameters, such as moment inertia coefficient friction, depend on other external conditions, have been obtained using system identification method. Comparison earlier techniques included. results show EO significant reduction losses compared existing ones.
